Porthcothan

Our first stop on our Poldark Tour is at Porthcothan, used as Napara Cove where Demelza and Ross take their dreamy walks

Holywell Bay – Warleggans Beach

A quick photo opportunity at Holywell Bay which was used as Warleggans beach.

St Agnes Head – Wheal Coates

Next, walk to Wheal Coates in St Agnes. This beautiful old mine on the north coast of Cornwall was used as part of the Nampara Estate.

Botallack Head – Wheal Owles or Wheal Leisure

Afterwards, we’ll set our sights on the spectacular Botallack Head. You’ll be sure to recognise Wheal Owles as Wheal Leisure in Poldark and don’t forget your cameras to snap the dramatic Crowns.

Porthgwara

A quick photo stop at Porthgwara, the cheeky scene where Demelza spies Ross having a dip.

Porthcurnow and The Minack Theatre

Next the spectacular Minack Theatre and the best view of Porthcurnow beach. Rowena Cade and her gardener embarked on building this inconic structure in the 1930’s. Be sure to follow the link and book your tickets in advance. We aim to get here for 2.30pm.

Time dependent we make our way to The Lizard. Timing will depend on traffic and your accommodation.

Church Cove – Gunwalloe

We visit the breath taking St Winwaloe’s Church nestled in the dunes of Gunwalloe, the location where Doctor Enys marries his love Caroline Poldark.

Kynance Cove

Time dependent we make our last view point at Kynance Cove. Used in scenes such as marching Ross to prison!

We’ll leave Kynance Cove or Church Cove in time to get you back to your accommodation by 5pm
