Driven Tours

On booking a 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking, other than New Year’s Eve private driving which is payment in full at time of booking to secure.
The balance is to be paid online 24 hours before tour commencement, an invoice will be sent to you for payment.
The tour price is as quoted on the day of booking and includes travel from accommodation to start of the tour approximate hours from 9am until 5pm dependent on outside factors such as traffic. The price does not include entrance fees or lunch unless picnic is added to the booking, full payment of the picnic is needed on booking as this is outsourced.
Fern the VW is fully insured for liability, private hire and is licenced by the local authority as am I your tour guide. I recommend suitable travel insurance for your trip.
Suitable footwear is needed, all tours are approximately 15,000 steps so good walking boots and or comfortable trainers are advised. Some tours are based around rivers, none of the tours are manned by lifeguards so entrance to any water is done at your own risk.
Cameras are welcomed but are your responsibility.
Dogs are welcomed on the tours (excluding Rosamunde Pilcher Tours); Fern the VW has a safe dog crate in the back with a wipe clean matt and water is provided for dogs. At no time must the dog be left in the van or with me your tour guide and must be always with you. Please bring poo bags and towels for your dog.
I can recommend accommodation and restaurants, but I cannot book them for you.
I am in no partnerships with restaurants so can not jump queues or offer discounts.
In unavoidable circumstances, we retain the right to cancel bookings and return all monies and all deposits paid provided we do so 48 hours before the effective date of booking.
If you have chosen to add on Prosecco, please drink responsibly. Only two bottles per trip are allowed irrelevant of how many people are booked.
Fern the VW is cleaned after every voyage to control any spread of coronavirus, face masks are worn with your choice but are not mandatory. I test regularly to prevent the spread of infection. Tours are private to you and your travelling companions.
Fern the VW seats four guests and of course your four-legged member of the family.
We have a requirement of minimum two guests.
Please note that there are woodland walks involved however if you have a member of the family that has limited mobility but still wants to enjoy the day out there are spots in which to relax not walk and or stay with the van. Fern the VW does not have wheelchair access.
Children are welcomed if they are supervised by a parent or guardian. Please talk to Becky your tour guide to arrange appropriate seating for your children.
Tours are available from March to December
Pick up from accommodation is approximately 9am dependent on location, I aim for a 4pm finish this does not include the drive back to your accommodation.
I have tailored the tours to include frequent facility stops
Becky your tour guide will stay with you throughout the tour however there are opportunities within the towns and stops to explore on our own should you wish.
Booking can be taken 24hrs in advance as long as the dates area available.
The tours are not weather dependent so if its forecast rain please bring coats and boots.

Walking Tours

·Payment in full to secure your booking.

·Lone explorers welcome, no minimum fee, I will run the tour with 1 to 8 people.

·Walking tour terrain is not wheelchair friendly or child push chair friendly.

·Children are welcomed if they are supervised by a parent or guardian. Under 5’s are free

·Bookings must be 16 hours in advance, if booking on the day please call Becky on 07793129115 to see availability

There are no comfort stops on the Cowlands and Roundwood Quay or Penpol and Restronguet walks but there are public toilets on Roundwood Quay and Trelissick walk at Trelissick.
Becky your tour guide will stay with you throughout the tour.
The tours are not weather dependent, please dress accordingly.

Waivers – I/the lead booking participant for the whole travelling group waive all claims I/we may have now and in the future for any personal injury, death, property damage or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in Penelewey Tours van and walking tours due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Penelewey Tours its staff, or other participants or death or injury as a result of any other circumstances. I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to sue any part of the parties named herein, that I will be held responsible for solicitors’ fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action. I am aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change. I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed bus tour and the possibility of personal injury, death or property damage or loss resulting there from. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation. I agree that if I suffer injury or illness Penelewey Tours or its Staff can, arrange any medical treatment and emergency service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety.

I understand that photographs taken on this tour may only be used for non-commercial or personal purposes. Using photographs for commercial purposes without acquiring permission from the Penelewey Tours is strictly prohibited.

Further, I always agree during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death or permanent disability. I understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the bus tour.

In entering this Waiver, I am not relying on any oral, written nor visual representations or statements by Penelewey Tours or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the bus tour. I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this walking tour and Wavier prior to signing it and agree that this Waiver will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and successors.

As a participant on the tour, I accept full responsibility for my behaviour, wellbeing, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to walking in woodland areas. I further realize that the tour may involve walking through unfamiliar, narrow and/or steep areas, woodland, roads, by rivers, marshy ground (this list is not exhaustive). I knowingly and wilfully accept these risks and take complete and total responsibility for my behaviour, wellbeing, and health during the tour. I agree to hold neither Penelewey Tours, nor its Staff or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.
