Objects lead us to the human story. People connect with people. Whether it's an artefact, a work of art, a building or a trace of lives from the past, every place holds something human within it.
Heritage Interpretation by Penelewey Tours creates story led interpretation, visitor experiences and self-guided audio tours for museums, galleries, cathedrals, heritage sites and cultural organisations.
Working from your brief, your collections and your audience, I develop interpretation that is clear, engaging and built around meaningful human stories. The aim is simple: to help visitors understand what they are seeing, move through a space with confidence and feel more connected to the people, places and history around them.

Every project begins with research.
Whether working from an existing interpretation plan, a museum collection, archival material or stakeholder interviews, I start by understanding the stories, themes and audiences that matter most.
From there, I develop content that is accurate, accessible and engaging. Complex information is distilled into clear, meaningful narratives that help visitors connect with people, places and collections.
My work includes exhibition text, object labels, audio tour scripts, gallery interpretation, digital experiences and educational resources. Each piece is written with both the visitor and the organisation's goals in mind.

• Interpretation planning and research
• Exhibition and gallery content
• Object labels and interpretation panels
• Audio tour scripting
• Educational resources
• Multimedia interpretation
• Visitor experience content
• Digital storytelling
• VoiceMap and Curio projects
